Mildred Turner

Mildred was an enslaved child who was purchased by the Allen family on February 1, 1859.  She and her two sisters (Alice and Caroline) along with their mother (Margaret) were bought for the sum of $1,525.  Their names were listed below George Turner and while it is possible that this was Mildred’s father, the exact connection is uncertain.  Mildred is thought to have been born around 1854.
