Tuckahoe is a gorgeous outdoor location for an event of up to 500 guests, or as few as 20. As a National Historic Landmark, its historic significance as Thomas Jefferson’s boyhood home, and the quiet beauty of its gardens, make Tuckahoe an ideal backdrop for a wide range of celebrations: showers, birthday parties, networking happy hours, fundraisers, celebrations of life, etc.
Locations
Larger parties on the grounds can pick from any of a number of locations, including river views, gardens, patio & tent, and sweeping lawns. Intimate parties of up to 40 guests can be held in the converted Old Stable or for a more elegant evening, the Historic Mansion can host parties of up to 35 guests.
Event Types
We offer a range of event types: Elite Events grants your party exclusive access to the grounds during your event. No other visitors, tours or photography sessions will be permitted onto the property during Elite Events. Informal Events allow the grounds to remain open to the public, though your chosen party space will be for your event alone. Pricing is influenced by event type, guest count, location, and event time length (see pricing below).

Rental of Tuckahoe for your event includes:
- Tuckahoe staff members throughout the day of your event
- On-site parking
- Provisions of electricity and running water
- Your choice between several reception sites, including one with colonial style hardscaping and a 57 x 117 ft sailcloth tent.
- Restroom facilities for up to 100 guests
- Use of onsite dumpsters for trash disposal
- Grounds and tent lighting (if event runs after dark)
