Alice Turner

Alice was an enslaved child who was purchased by the Allen family on February 1, 1859.  She and her two sisters (Mildred and Caroline) along with their mother (Margaret) were bought for the sum of $1,525.  Their names were listed below George Turner and while it is possible that this was Alice’s father, the exact connection is uncertain.  Alice is thought to have been born around 1857.
